2019 Junior Festival Update

By Mark Garrett

All looking good for this year's Junior Festival, here are all the details and forms you need for the day!

Below are all the forms and details you need for this year's HRUFC Junior Festival.

Festival Rules - The rules are designed to make it as simple as possible for teams and supporters. U7 to U13 are none competitive with all players getting a medal at the end after playing the maximum amount of rugby possible under Regulation 15. For older age groups we do provide a Cup but our goal is to deliver a great day of rugby for all teams and this is at the heart of what we are doing.

Player Registration - We need a registration form from ALL teams entering, this should provide a player's name, Date of Birth and RFU number. We also need proof of RFU registration which can be provided via a copy of or sight of a GMS print out.

Photography Permission Form - We value everyone's privacy and this covers the taking of video or photos. We, therefore, ask all teams to provide written permission for photos to be taken within each age group. If we do not receive permission from all teams in your age group then photos will not be allowed.

Parking Permits - Parking is very busy on festival days so we do want to try to manage parking for teams that need to bring kit onto site and teams that travel on bus. Please let the festival organiser via email (garrettmark@me.com) if you planning to come via bus, there is a charge of £30 for buses. We also provide 2 parking permits for people bringing kit on site which if shown on arrival gets you in for free. Please ensure you arrive before 9:30 on Saturday and 10:00 on Sunday after which we cannot guarantee a space. Contact Mark Garrett via email (garrettmark@me.com) to request a parking permit

Timings for the day - Saturday Registration opens at 9:00am and games kick off at 10:00am. We aim to get all games completed by 3pm.

Sunday Registration opens at 9:30 and games kick off at 10:30am. We aim to get all games played by 2:15pm.

Players meals are NOT provided but the clubhouse and BBQ will be going all day, along with the bar and ice cream van!
