Georgians Power to Victory
On the day when Huddersfield's 1XV were crowned Nat 3 League Winners the Georgians spoilt the party with a thumping win against the 2's.
The two previous games this year had seen the sides seperated by a mere 3 points so the margin of victory was something not predicted.
The Georgians sarted at the pace and power demanded and shown in the recent second half against Huddersfield at home and Luke Riddell scored an early converted try to open up a lead 0 v 7
The home side got onto the scoreboard shortly afterwards to 5 v 7
A flowing move between forwards and backs saw Will Clough make a break and Noel Minikin was on hand to take the pass to score under the posts 5 v 14.
Back came Field with a well worked move and a score out wide 10 v 14
Euan Miller who deputised at 6 for the day and had a great game showed his finishing abilities with a well worked forwards move 10 v 19.
A penalty kick by Luke R increased the lead to 10 v 22 Field then scored another well worked move this time through the pack to narrow the gap to 4 points 15 v 22.
A Will Edwards try converted by Luke extended the lead and secured the try bonus point and a 15 v 29 lead.
Jack Kennell then scored a brace of tries both of which were converted either side of a try for the home team and 22 v 43
Another try for the home team showed the free flowing nature of the game nd no little skill 27 v 43.
Luke Riddell bagged his second try of the game and added the extras beore Will Morecombe capped a fine performance with yet another try and a fial score 27 v 55.
Great rugby, two good sides a really good advery for Yorkshire Premiership rugby.
