This weekend showed a real high point of the representative honours gained by our current colts players, some of which have been playing at the club for over 10 years.
Jack Kennell and Adam Brown both played for Yorkshire Carnegie Academy in the England Academy under 18 league. Adam captained the side against Northampton Saints playing hooker whilst Jack played on the wing. Both have been involved in the Carnegie squad all season coming through various selection stages and also played together in the win against Newcastle Falcons in December. There are still games to come against Sale Sharks and Leicester Tigers, whilst the squad also have played against Wasps and Worcester Warriors.
Angus Wilson also had a big weekend. After representing Yorkshire at prop in matches before Christmas he was selected for the North counties squad for a training camp on Sunday.
Finally Charlie Hudson - Full Back also gained honours being selected for the England Independent Schools squad. They play various games with Charlie being in the squad against Nottingham University at the weekend
This builds on other players in the squad getting county representative honours this season (Hugo Hayes, Ben Raubitschek and Mathew Wright) and other colts playing regularly for the Harrogate senior teams (Conor Miller, Oli Henry)
All the lads have been involved in the clubs for many years and were part of the successful year group that won the U15 Yorkshire Cup in 2015.
The colts continue to thrive after being reinstated 2 years ago with another strong group coming through behind this age group. They are doing well in the league with many other lads ready for the step up to senior rugby.
