Warm up draw with Darlington Mowden Park

In a keenly fought game at Claro Road both sides gave committed performances with no quarter asked or given resulting in an ideal preseason game.

All the points were hard earned with no freebies in evidence.

A young and talented Gate squad of 27 players played 4 20 minute sessions and a 21 all scoreline was a fair reflection for the afternoon's efforts.

Harrogate did not help themselves by receiving 2 yellow cards within a minute of each other just prior to halftime and DMP responded in the 9 minutes that the home side were reduced to 13 men by scoring 2 of their 3 converted tries.

Harrogate's tries came via winger Robbie Almond,lock Chris Wilson and centre Toby Quarendon.

Almond obliged by converting all 3 tries,2 of which were from the touchline.
