Fantastic game to end a strong season
The Georgians looked dead and buried in the first half when Blaydon opened up a 35 v 10 lead only to see a amazing turn round that almost snatched a last gap win.
A cracking game that saw lots of great rugby and two committed sides giving their all in a superb advert for this league.
Blaydon played great rugby in the first half, aided by some weak tackling at times and opened up an early lead, Fraser Kitching back from injury scored a well taken try showing power to drive over to reduce the gap to 7 v 5
A couple of Blaydon tries opened up a healthy lead 28 v 5 before a swift move down the blind side saw Will Clough take the scoring pass 28 v 10.
Blaydon increased the lead to 35 v 10 before Will Edwards scored a great try after a flowing move and a series of dynamic moves 35 v 17
Liam Hucknall was in barnstorming form with some awesome carries and worked well at the base of a dominant scrum to allow Will Morecombe score to reduce the gap 35 v 24.
A wonderful counter attacking move that was probably the best of the season saw man of the match Euan Miller score 35 v 31
Will Morecombe then finished off another great team move to edge the Georgians ahead 35 v 38.
A yellow card for deliberate knock on by Jonno saw the momentum shift back and two quick tries moved Blaydon ahead 49 v 38
The Georgians stormed back and fittingly Dickie Davies in his final game scored to make it 49 v 43
With the clock ticking down the Georgians threw everything at Blaydon and were agonisingly close to scoring what would have been a winning try but in the end it was not to be but every one of the team can be rightly proud of their efforts in a fantastic game of rugby.
