Georgians too strong for plucky Cleckheaton.
Discussions between the clubs during the week saw Gate mix up the sides to include a number of Saxons in the squad as Cleck only had 16 travelling including a few young guns.
Liam Hucknall opened the scoring with a typically barnstorming run with Cas adding the extras, Matt Lansdall was on hand to score the second after 15 minutes and a 12 v 0 lead.
Cleck then scored a well taken try and showed great heart to add a second and close to within 2 points but that was as far as it went for the visitors on the scoreboard ad Gate took control.
A try out wide opened up the lead to 19 v 10.
Harry Johnson then showed pace and power to go over a couple of times before Gareth Bass joined in the fun with a couple and a 48 v 10 lead.
Elliott Lewis back on leave scored again to make it 55 v 10 before Connor Miller rounded things off with a final try and a good win.
Credit to the young Cleckheaton side, after a tough start in the league they showed great heart and desire, never giving up throughout.
Tynedale up next week so good to be on a four match winning run
