It is to the eternal credit of the quality of both sides that despite the awful conditions they both looked to play expansive rugby throughout.

Not to be outdone Wharfedale executed an almost carbon copy move within 5 minutes to level the scores at 10 v 10 with 30 mins played.
The Georgian scrum was just beginning to get the slightest of advantages and the linespeed in defense gave the dangeroud Dale backs little space in which to get going.
Centre Tommy Fergusson then shower power and pace to crash over near the posts with Hampo adding the extras and a half time lead of 17 v 10
The second half saw the Georgians start to exert pressure on the Wharfedale side across the pitch and after spreading play one side to the other then back again created space for Matt Lansdall to score out wide 22 v 10.
A break from the back of a maul saw skipper Tim Heaton go over out wide to extend the gap to 27 v 10 after dogged work from the pack.
Both sides continued to look to play expansive rugby and the last word was from Danny Cooke who pounced on a loose ball to score out wide with Hampo knocking over the conversion off the crossbar.
