It seems the development side can't be stopped adding another win to their streak

It seems the development side can't be stopped adding another win to their streak

North Ribblesdale started well from kick off, making things difficult for the home side instantly. Their pacy full back and ran round the back to score a try, unable to be caught. The visitors had put their mark on the board scoring 5 points within 5 minutes.

It didn't take long for Harrogate to wake up however, Danielle Molyneux found a gap in the defensive line and powered through. The forward converted her own try in reply, it was 7 - 5

Another followed for the home side in quick succession of the first, Rosin McCulloch had positioned herself perfectly out on the wing. She was just that bit too fast for North Ribblesdale to catch her as she found space out wide. No conversion followed, 12 - 5.

After 10 minutes of North Ribblesdale challenging the home defence Molyneux proved too strong for the opposition. She steps the last line as she touches down just over the whitewash. The kick bounced off the bar however, pushing the score up to 17 - 5.

North Ribblesdale responded by pushing forward hard in their attack and very really made a try as they did so, before the ref called time for a head injury and stopping them short.

When play resumed their momentum had been stunted and the ball was turned over.

Harrogate Centre Caroline Cockshott kicked for the chase with McCulloch almost making the catch, barely beaten to it by the opposition defence.

The half time score was 17-5. After the interval Harrogate started the second half brightly, Emma Winstanley's pick and go sees her score a well worked try and increase the scoreline to 22 - 5.

North Ribblesdale again replied with a try of their own with after some well placed passing and protection of the ball through the phases, they didn't manage to kick over the extras however, 22 - 10.

Molyneux again proved her player of the match performance by stealing a third try. This was coincidentally Harrogate's last try of the match.

Harrogate began to evidentially tire after keeping up such intensity in play throughout. North Ribblesdale though had the legs in the final quarter.

Again the visiting full back showed off some beautiful running and footwork, which allowed her to cross the whitewash for the second time. She converted her own try, 27 - 17.

Lastly, the visitors successfully deliver a set play which resulted in a final try under the sticks. With no conversion to follow, Harrogate managed to hang onto the win.
