Harrogate proved a comeback against Morpeth from their first match against this quick team.

Harrogate ladies were back on home turf in this match, and with good confidence from their previous win. When Harrogate first encountered Morpeth they struggled against the quick running team, but back on the field against them now, Harrogate proved the stronger side.
Morpeth were only able to bring 11 players to the game, Harrogate had a full 15 but fell down to 11 to match with Morpeth from kick off.
Harrogate had the kick off, taking it deep into the Morpeth half. Morpeth were quick running up to Harrogate, but Harrogate's defense was strong. Play was set in the middle of the pitch for the majority of the first half.
When it came to scrum time, Harrogate dominated, pushing the Morpeth pack back some metres and stealing the ball every time. But it wasn’t quite enough for the side and Morpeth scored the first try, and with a quick conversion were up by 7.
Harrogate were quick to follow and after an attacking line break, Harrogate levelled the score board 7-7 just before halftime. Although the score was even, Harrogate just had the edge, Morpeth were struggling to take down the Harrogate players with a much more powerful front row.

When the second half started, Morpeth were quick breaking through Harrogate's defensive line to get ahead of the home side. 14-7 up, play continued into the centre of the pitch, with a strong defense and attack on both sides. But with some messy hands after a Morpeth scrum, Harrogate's Kirstie Butler dived onto the ball after it spilled over Morpeth's try line to bring Harrogate closer. But with a failed conversion, it was 14-12.
It was clear the players were getting tired. Harrogate were pushed back onto their try line, yet again Harrogate defended strongly and were able to push Morpeth back to the halfway line. With a penalty in the ruck, the match was over with a win for Morpeth.
Both of these teams played well, Morpeth were strong in the line out, but Harrogate had the scrum. These match was a good one, well evened sides and enjoyment throughout. And al proud of each other going into their next matches.

Harrogate are back at home to face York RI on April 3rd
