U9's continue to make sound progress

With two Weatherby teams and three teams of 8 each from Harrogate we played a mini round robin tournament with each team playing at least two games. The Weatherby games were closely contested and played in an excellent spirit by both clubs. With a couple of 2:2 draws and a win for each club in the other games, the highlight of the day turned out to be the Harrogate Panthers versus the Harrogate Tigers. Some fabulous free flowing rugby with some very tough tackling and no lack of passion/committment it was hard to imagine that all the 16 players were actually team mates! Rucking still needs some work but with a training session in the diary for a couple of weeks time, we can give it some real attention then. York next week, when hopefully we can avenge the heartbreak of the recent 1:0 defeat in the Ripon World Cup semi final play off.
