Another week of sound progress in the development of the U9's. York had piped the U9's in a very tight game just a couple of weeks ago to reach the final of the Ripon festival. This was an opportunity to measure our progress in that short time. We were helped by having two very strong squads and based on the performances, progress is excellent. Our defence and tackling has been strong right from the start of the season, but now the boys are really starting to string passes together, off load quickly to team mates in the mauls and complete strongly at the break down. As usual, there were some stand out individual performances but what has been extremely pleasing has been the development and commitment of the boys who only started playing rugby at the beginning of September. Finally, after four weeks in a row of competitive matches, we have a training week this weekend which will be held on the Granby School Playing field at 10am on Sunday.
