In a week where a number of regulars were missing due to the start of the Autumn internationals, Remembrance Sunday and illness, we still had 19 players who all worked extremely hard in training. We went over a number of the points discussed the previous week on rucking and mauling and then did some short sessions on the scrum and line out but the bulk of the session was devoted to a full on game where we tried to bring together some of the learning of previous weeks. There were some excellent performances with all the boys playing their part. It was particularly pleasing to see the progress being made on rucking with notable work being done by Freddie R, Oliver B and Jacob G. Tackling was fierce at times but the stand out tackles of the day came from Fred B and Harry V. Jack T, Toby L and Sam L each impressed with determined attacking runs and the latter scored an excellent reach over try. The level of teamwork demonstrated was commendable even if we still appear to find organising ourselves into a clap-off tunnel at the end of a game to be problematic. Well done to all for a great session and thanks too for the continued parental support (at least the weather was much better than the previous week).
Home to Wharfdale next week.
