Rusty U9's

After missing the previous two weeks due to dreadful weather (rain and then ice) Moortown visited Claro Rd this week and gave the U9's a good lesson in running straight and rucking over the ball. We fielded three teams of 8 (Lions, Tigers and Panthers). Moortown played all three teams and the results were as follows:
- Lions 0 Moortown 2
- Tigers 1 Moortown 6
- Panthers 2 Moortown 2

So Moortown returned to North Leeds undefeated albeit that it took an equalising try in the last play of the match to maintain that record versus the Panthers. All games were played in an excellent spirit and there were some noteable performances in particular from Freddie R, Danny D on his debut, Harry W and Jacob G.

That said, we did look very rusty at our running straight and rucking over so two areas to work on ahead of our home fixture against Richmondhsire this weekend.
