Harrogate vs Wetherby

I think the coaches were more nervous than the lads as Wetherby had already competed in 3 matches before this one and it was plain to see that we were on top of the first game after the first 10 mins. After a turn over of ball Aiden Miller got the ball and ran to score our first try.

The second half started just the same way and it wasn’t long before Conal Murphy went over for a second try for Harrogate. Wetherby pushed hard for a try in the last few mins and there was some great defensive work by Harrogate when wetherby went over the line but the Ball was kept up by some great team work by Harrogate, eventually they got a try in the last minute of the game as we came through 2-1 winners.

The 2nd game again showed that our coaches have done a great job with the lads as Col went over for our first try in the first 30 seconds of the game followed up by another three from Sam Atkinson, William Poskett, and Luke Jowsey before the half time score of 4-1 to Harrogate, in the second half Wetherby came back to make it 6-4 as William poskett went over another two times for his hat trick, and Lawrence Richmond went over for us in the last minute of the game for a fine 7 – 4 win.

The third game Saw some great tackling by our lads as we came through the first half 2 nil up with two try’s from Ben Waller, we changed things around in the 2nd half try’s from Luke Jowsey (2) Lawrence Richmond, William Poskett,and Archie White saw us clear winners 7-2.
