After a resounding win at the World Cup last weekend, confidence was high as the Under 10s traveled to York. Playing in a three way competition which also included Roundhegians Harrogate fielded 2 teams and got straight down to business.
York had experienced the Harrogate front row, nicknamed J20 by Head Coach Marcus Black, at Wendeslydale and this morning saw round 2 as they consistently won the ball in the scrum and rucks. Special mention goes to Henry Hewitt for a some great support play which delivered trys over and over again.
The Roundhegians presented a strong challenge early on but strong tackles from Toby Lynn and Ben Tomalin quickly broke their resolve allowing Ben Irvine and Barnaby Horberry to start scoring freely.
Again all the boys played the game with a positive attitude and with great respect to their opponents. They really are a squad of young men Harrogate should be proud of.
