Sleepy start as usual!

Despite the extra hour and possibly because of Haloween, it took a while for the kids to get going!

With a large group the plan was to have a squad training on back to basics, while two teams played Roundhegians.
I hadn't expected how basic we needed to get!! The first training group barely got to running with the ball, nevermind passing and tackling!!
However, when the game faces appeared we were a different team. Tackles flew in, passes were caught and rucking finally became the norm, not an onfield spectator sport!
Matthew A was pushed hard by Eddie C as the standout balldozer. The tackling machines of Will, Rory, Jacob and Tom were still scything down the opposition, but most pleasing was the willingness to ruck and get involved by all the players.
Other stand out performances go to George Ac who showed no fear in one of his first matches to tackle anything that got within arms reach and Isaac's try saving tap tackle (although he confessed that he was avoiding doing a proper tackle!), backed up a few minutes later with a proper tackle.

But the man of the match performance goes to Will for his allround performance, culminating with a fantastic covering tackle on the speedster, not only saving the try, but also in haloween fashion scaring him off the pitch!!

Another £45.00 was raised for the christmas (18th Dec) and tour fund, thanks to Emma and Ali for selling the sweets etc..
