Character building!!

After a good pre match warm up the boys looked ready for action. The whistle blew and the Hurricanes pushed forward from the start, within 30 seconds the Hurricanes had scored the first try of the game after Rory C broke through smashing the Otley defence. This pretty much set the pace for the rest of the game. Harrogate looked disciplined and well organised, Jacob B quickly led the front with two consecutive quick tries, Fraser G wasn't being left out either when he went over the line for the fourth. Within the first half Jacob B had got a hat trick of tries by scoring the fifth. Otley did eventually reply with a try of there own catching Harrogate out, on the break. Charlie K soon made amends for Harrogate's sloppy defending by running in Harrogate's 6th try by bulldozing his way through the Otley defence. Otley weren't done yet as they fought hard to get a second try, but Harrogate kept pressing hard and Fraser G took the bull by the horns to grab the seventh. Step up Elliot C who did his usual banana try from one end of the pitch to the other for Harrogate's 8th. Harrogate's ninth try came from George A who showed a clean pair of heels on the wing with some fine running before the ref blew up for half time. (2-9) Second half - After some great charging and ball carrying Matthew A picked up from where Harrogate left off by going over for Harrogate's tenth try. This was quickly followed by Rory C for gates eleventh. Jackson T wasn't going to be left out either as he'd worked hard all game and got his just reward and went over for Harrogate's twelfth. Otley did reply with another two tries in the second half but Harrogate were dominating in all areas. Both Henry N and John P worked hard in the middle of the park to prevent Otley from moving any further forward. The second half saw Tom D enter the game with some awesome tackling! Two more tries for Jacob B, and tries from Rory C, Charlie K, Tom D saw Harrogate over the winning line in what looked like a pretty impressive performance on the day. Otley would of been glad to of seen the back of us at the end of the day! (4-17) I think even the coach's went home happy!
