Our past experiences at Moortown have always been physical encounters and this one didn't let us down. The Harrogate boys certainly knew they were in a scrap with the Leeds outfit. But the boys technical side of the game shone through, as they stepped up to the challenge both physically and mentally. Jo.H set the ball rolling for Harrogate's first try. Alex.L scored 2 tries and seemed to take the roll of scrum half dictating the play. Whilst Jackson.T showed some great side steps to score a total of 3 tries and some great running with the ball and deservedly was awarded M.O.M. Jacob.B was outstanding both in the tackling and running at the opposition scored 2 tries. Charlie.K scored 1 try and showed great strength and power running at the opposition. Although Will, Elliot, John and Henry didn't score any tries. These guys put in the ground work and toil to ensure there team mates did. John.P aka the battering ram made some great runs through the Moortown defence, whilst Elliot & Henry opened up the defence with a clean pair of heals and some great off loads when it mattered. Will.L was again solid in defence with some great tackling laying his body on the line for his team. In all, a great battling TEAM performance from The Hurricanes who deservedly went home with the victory! 9-6.
