Inspirational performance in yorkshire cup!

The under 11s performed on the day to get through to the next round of the yorkshire cup. They started off very strongly against Wensleydale, moving onto beat York and then another win against richmondshire. Still not having conceded a try they faced tougher opposition against selby and won overall.. The boys really showed a lot of passion, skill and teamwork. The boys handling skills shone and their support play was excellent. Whilst they need to move the ball into space more overall the squad played well as a team overall. The final 2 games against ripon and wetherby were tough. A draw against ripon in a closely fought game was a highlight. Unfortunately the team were outplayed by a stronger wetherby side who were excellent in the ruck and open play. We will beat them this season I am sure!

Overall some great individual performances but this was a team effort. Significant improvement shown in recent weeks and most of all the boys had a really fun time playing against a range of teams and abilities. Next week York away.
