Tough games against york and roundhegians

The team were a bit asleep with york scoring in the first minute due to some poor tackling from harrogate. The teams morale dipped a little until some closely fought rucks produced one try each. The boys played hard with some good ball handling but the passing left much to be desired at times. Whilst we were good in the scrum the rucking was not consistent and tackling too patchy. York overall ended up the winners with a try in front. However harrogate were more fired up now and the last 5 to 10 minutes were excellent from both sides.

Second game against roundhegians harrogate dominated up front in the scrum and rucks. A good win overall and great to see some of the less experienced players coming to the fore such as Charlie, Alex. Tackling improved but still not consistent. Too many players missing the first tackle and body positions need to be much lower! However a good day in great weather conditions. Most of all the boys loved playing the games and having fun.
