Harrogate vs Dinnington

Some great results on Sunday. In the first game we beat a very powerful Dinnington team 26 vs 0 carrying on from our performance against Wetherby. The boys are really mixing the game up well again , rediscovering how to defend ( no tries against for the second game in a row) and playing some good patterns. They just need to focus on the final execution of the pass to score and ensure our body positions are lower when we are rucking. Even more pleasing was the second game in which we won a hard fought encounter 12 vs 10. This just goes to show the importance of converting the tries.I must say there was a vast improvement since the last time the full squad played at Wetherby. The tackling was superb , the boys really surpassing themselves with the tackle count and some great individual play to score the tries. A bit more focus on the rucking and getting some structure to the back play will really prove dividends. This team could beat most clubs 1st teams with the same attitude and desire they demonstrated on Sunday and certainly a couple of players have played themselves into contention for the next cup game.
