'Gate overcame a hard working Sheffield team by 57 – 0 to win a well-deserved place in the Yorkshire Plate final.

Solid defence, good off-loading in the tackle and a willingness to spin the ball wide were the keys to the Gate victory.

The try of the game came from Horacio who sprinted home from half way after the Gate forwards turned the ball over just short of their own line and drove powerfully onwards.
