With the game being played on a badly sloping pitch and in poor weather conditions, a fast flowing game was never on the cards. The strong home pack took the initiative early on , and with the advantage of the wind and slope they drove over to score two unconverted tries. An excellent performance by the Harrogate front row of Nathan Wake, Sam Rutter, and Fraser Dunlop helped drive their team forward.
