Rugby wins again!!
There are not many sports where you turn up with too many players and are greeted by the opposition coach, who willingly takes the extras away for a joint training session with their subs and under 6's, while the remainder play their matches.
It was good to reunite with Rob who joined Danny and I on the level one course a few weeks ago.
The rugby showed the now expected improvement as the games progressed and following some strict refereeing including the loss of tries for carrying the ball in one hand and the loss of gloves for chewing, the coaching began to sink in!! I'm sure Stuart Lancaster doesn't have to resort to these tactics.
Honurable mention goes to Awesome Angus, who turned up with his rugby head on from the start and using his powers gained form wearing green tags (nothing to do with his coaches apparently)was the best player on the pitch.
Maybe we should invest in more green tags!!
Next week is Christmas training, i have santa hats for all but if you have any more festive cheer in mind please add as you deem fit (old xmas jumpers for training/tinsel or newer ones for in the clubhouse etc!!).
We will have a shortened session on the pitch followed by a bit of a party in the clubhouse, so please aim to hang around a bit longer than usual.
