Leeds Carnegie Match - Headingley

Thanks to Leeds Carnegie, for allowing us to swarm onto their pitch at half time in the christmas break, and also to Sandal and Selby for helping to run the matches without hitch.

The boys all performed admirably with no obvious displays of nerves playing in front of 3,500 spectators. Great inter linking play and an organised defensive line resulted in both our teams scoring ten tries each and ending up victorious. However, as ever it was not about winning but the taking part and playing at a big ground then getting to watch a professional match really inspired the players.

Hopefully parents will have recorded the Sky 2 match as we are clearly seen in the background from the aerial camera whilst they showed the leeds v nottingham score! For those on the near pitch you will have to make do with a fantastic pitchside video by Oliver Lightowlers and the paparazzi of parents in the North stand.
