Harrogate U-15’s eased through to the fourth round of the Yorkshire Cup by running 7 tries past Malton & Norton U-15’s away on Sunday.

From the kick-off, M&N pressured ‘Gate back onto their own 5 yd line until Luke Hudson broke out and carried back into the opposition’s half to send Harry Parrish over in the corner.

Within minutes it was Harry Parrish who again created the next try scoring opportunity by being brought down just short of the line where ‘Gate won a 5yd scrum from which Ollie Harris drove over.

Will Clough added both conversions before slotting a penalty for the three points.

After the referee blew the M&N players for being in front of the kicker at the restart, Luke Hudson gathered from the back of the scrum on the centre point and, with a powerful 50 yd dash, ran in for ‘Gate’s third.

Then, Jack Barnard chipped over for Harry Parrish to run onto and lure three defenders into the corner only to lob an overhead ball back inside for Max Simmons to cut back towards the posts and close the first half on 27 unanswered points.

Will Clough opened the second half scoring by peeling away from the back of a scrum and touching down under the posts to make it easier for his self to add the extras before Winger Liam Kernoghan crossed the whitewash as the result of another flowing move through ‘Gate’s backs.

Charlie Greswald scored a superb individual consolation try for the home side and James Bulmer converted before ‘Gate’s Man of the Match, Will Hebblethwaite, ran in a determined try in the corner to close at 44 – 7.
