Jake is sponsored by TAP.He started his rugby career at Pontefract RUFC. Upon moving to Leeds to attend university Jake moved clubs to Harrogate RUFC. He played for the club for 8 years collecting 217 caps, at least half as captain. In Jake's time as captain the team won the Yorkshire Cup three times consecutively.
He then moved to Darlington Mowden Park where he played for two years in National League 1. Then a move to Yorkshire Carnegie provided Jake some Championship experience. He stayed at the Leeds club for 6 years supporting with the reset and transition to the previous name of Leeds Tykes. Playing alongside his role of General Manager.
Rejoining Harrogate in 2025 as Director of Rugby Jake is still playing while completing his off field duties.
