After some scrappy, but successful, performances recently, and three weekends with no matches, the Colts put on an excellent team display to secure a substantial victory over Selby, and a place in the Plate final.
Harrogate generally stuck to their, admittedly simple, game plan of dominating the scrums, tying the opposition up in the forwards before passing it wide and scoring - again and again and again.
In all, Harrogate ran in eight tries, including a hat trick for Conor Miller, two each for Ollie Henry and Charlie Hudson, and one for Hugo Hayes. Charlie also kicked one penalty and five conversions, to bring his points tally to 23.
The scorers are by no means the whole story though, as the whole squad really gave it their all. Particular mention must go to Henry Jackson and Dan Goodhand, who stepped up from the Under-16s and really contributed well.
The final score was 53-7, guaranteeing a place in the final on April 9th at Moortown.
