For the fourth year in a row, we met Sheffield in the cup. This time it was away, and fell on a bad week for availability, with lots of Harrogate players out either for school rugby, family commitments, or injury. This gave an opportunity for the rest of the squad though, which they grabbed with both hands.
Everyone gave it 100% for the whole game and there was no disgrace at all. At half time the scores were level at 7 each, following a try by Harry Yates and an Evan Thomas conversion. Another score in the second half by James Young, converted by Tom Flannery, wasn't enough to win though as the final score was 24-14 to Sheffield.
