Fantastic start to the game by Harrogate, great intensity from the whole team. Selby were pushed back in to their half for the first 15 mins. The boys early pressure was rewarded with a great try, a good run from Alex who passed to Archie W, who made a great pass to Sam, who finished off well. Luke converted.

Selby came back at Harrogate but good defence kept them out initially but eventually their pressure told and Selby pushed over the line for a try, which they failed to convert. With the half time close Harrogate scored their second try, at great kick into the corner by Luke for Ryan to run onto, followed by a really good conversion from near the side line by Luke.

There was still time in the half for one more try by Harrogate, good runs from Dan, Henry and Alex ended with Sam scoring again in the corner. Enter the frog and a delay removing it from the pitch. Sadly this ended with Luke being timed out by the ref who was prevented by the ref from taking the kick. A great first half ended with Harrogate leading 19 to 5

The second half started with early pressure from Selby which ended with a try in the corner which they failed to convert. Harrogate resisted the pressure for some time but in the in the end, injuries to players and lack of subs, Harrogate succumbed to wave after wave of Selby pressure who ended up running in Six tries. Even under this pressure the majority of the boys still showed fighting spirit to the end but being down to 13 players for the last 15 to 20mins was just too much for them.
